the addition of two key members to its management team in advance of
the launch of the AskMeNow service this fall: Jeffery Mahl, Chief
Revenue and Content Officer and Don Stern, Chief Technology Officer.
The company also announced the addition of two members to its Advisory
Board: Michael H. Sommer and Phil Baker.
Don Stern, AskMeNow's new Chief Technology Officer, will oversee all aspects of AskMeNow's infrastructure including the development of technology and management of patent applications. A twenty-nine year veteran in hardware, software and semi-conductors, Stern has experience with some of the world's leading technology companies including Cisco Systems, Applied Process Technology, Novellus Systems, Grail Technology, and Touch Interactive. Stern has been granted over 30 patents, including the patent for the Auto Play function used to automatically load CDs and DVDs inserted into computers, and has a number of pending patent applications.
Jeffrey Mahl, AskMeNow's new Chief Revenue and Content Officer, will be responsible for monetizing the AskMeNow service by developing revenue sources from advertising and specialized content. Mahl was most recently the President of Media Directions where he was responsible for revenue generation and overall strategy for numerous companies' properties. Mahl has also served as a President of the Media Sales Group at GemStar - TV Guide International Inc. and was a senior executive at ESPN and AskJeeves Inc.
