(OTCBB: GMTH) today provided an update on its press release of
November 10, 2005 and the continuing status, progress and prospects of
various aspects of its business.
Global Matrechs's licensed technology portfolio includes next-generation technologies that provide advanced safety and storage solutions for the nuclear, environmental and chemical industries. The company is also considering opportunities in the non-lethal weapons sector. For full details on the company's diverse licensed technologies, visit www.globalmatrechs.com.
Follow-up on current business developments include:
-- Global Matrechs is further along in its negotiation of a Joint Venture Agreement with a German company having offices in Germany and Russia. The agreement contemplates the marketing and distribution of NuCap (TM) to Eastern European projects with a specific focus on the Ukraine and Russia, particularly the Chernobyl site. The Chernobyl containment project is being funded by EBRD, based in London. Global Matrechs has arranged for a high-level presentation in December and expects to report on the outcome of the negotiations and its involvement in the Chernobyl project, if any, before the end of the year.
-- Global Matrechs is in the process of choosing a Washington company to represent it in negotiations with the DOE and EPA for its NuCap(TM) and HNIPU products. This contract with this Washington Group will start in January.
-- Global Matrechs has delivered samples of NuCap(TM) to a Canadian company for demonstrations and is continuing its negotiations with this company for the encapsulation of over 2000 drums stored in mines in the Western part of Canada. The drums contain toxic materials that are currently seeping into the ground. Global Matrechs hopes to complete its negotiations with this company by year-end.
-- Global Matrechs is continuing with its negotiations of a Joint Venture Agreement with Global Demolition for representation of our NuCap(TM) and HNIPU products in the United States. Global Demolition is working on many new possibilities for the use of NuCap(TM) and HNIPU in non-nuclear demolitions. Global Matrechs hopes to have an agreement by year-end.
-- Global Matrechs has delivered a pilot order for NuCap(TM) (www.globalmatrechs.com/PNCAP.html) to Siemens. Again Global Matrechs continues to supply more information to Siemens and expects Siemens to complete its evaluation by year-end. Once the evaluation is complete, Siemens will test NuCap(TM) in an actual application. Global Matrechs expects to be on-site in Germany for this important test. Siemens manages many nuclear power plants in Germany and France.
-- Global Matrechs is continuing its negotiations for the encapsulation of 181 tanks with nuclear waste. It is conducting these negotiations jointly with Global Demolitions.
