DENVER, Jan. 30 /PRNewswire/ -- Freshies Food Corporation, a leading producer of all-natural, non-alcoholic drink mixes, announced record earnings for 2005. Revenues were up 124% from 2004, and fourth quarter revenues for 2005 totaled 155% of the previous year's last quarter. Continued distribution expansion, a new partnership with Sony Tri-star Pictures and enhanced presence in Whole Foods Market stores spurred the company's financial gains.
Freshies' sponsorship of Sony Tri-star Pictures' box office hit, Underworld: Evolution, starring Kate Beckinsale, increased awareness of the cocktail mixes. At the end of 2005, Freshies prepared to co-host premiere parties in 75 cities throughout the United States. A Freshies Haunted Colorado Vacation Sweepstakes is also part of the promotion whereby contestants can enter online (http://www.freshies.com/) to win a grand prize trip to Denver and Steamboat Springs.
Additionally, Freshies forged a relationship with Whole Foods Market . In 2005, Whole Foods Market stores began carrying Freshies all-natural cocktail mixes in 10 states throughout the country. To kick off this new partnership, Freshies hosted in-store product tastings.
"The financial success of 2005 and the major plans for the new year mark a very exciting time for Freshies," said Steve Barton, Chairman of the Executive Committee for Freshies. "We're a fast-growing company that has never wavered in our commitment to produce all-natural, non-alcoholic cocktail mixes with the freshest ingredients. This commitment paired with the fact that our cocktail mixes just taste so good, really hit home with consumers in 2005."
The financial growth continues as further expansion is underway. By June, Freshies will have completed two production line upgrades within the last 14 months. "Our upgrades and warehouse expansion will effectively double current production capabilities and will perfectly position us for continued growth in 2006," said Ian Gustin, President of Freshies. "Management is anticipating another record year in case production and revenue."
