NEW YORK (AFX) - Monster Worldwide Inc., parent company to the job search Web site Monster.com, on Tuesday said it hired former Nike executive Tony Balfour as president of its Asia Pacific operations, effective Oct. 1.
Balfour, 46, fills a newly created position. He will be based in the Republic of China and report to Steve Pogorzelski, group president of international for Monster Worldwide.
Balfour most recently worked as director of marketing and product for SEEK, an online recruitment company in Australia. Before that, Balfour spent nearly 10 years with Nike, including a stint as general manager of the shoe maker's Asia Pacific unit.
