New York 2007. The conference takes place October 22 - 26
at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center.
Prince will speak on Tuesday, October 23, at 9:30 a.m. In
his presentation, he addresses the question "Is There a
Next-Generation LAN?"
McLean will speak on Thursday, October 25, at 10:45 a.m. She
will offer her expertise in a panel discussion titled "The
Truth About Network Access Control (NAC): A Discussion of
the Realities and the Myths of Network Access Control
(NAC)."
WHAT: In Prince's presentation, "Is There a Next Generation LAN?,"
he will address how changes in business practices have
driven the need to evolve LAN architecture to keep pace.
The discussion will look at whether companies can continue
to modify their current LANs or if they need a truly next-
generation LAN. He will also define the key characteristics
of a next-generation LAN.
McLean will participate in "The Truth About NAC" panel. NAC
has become one of the most talked-about concepts in the
information technology community. This panel discussion
will bring together some of the brightest minds thinking
about NAC to discuss what it realistically can offer an
organization as well as the challenges it can create.
Interop New York is a conference that merges thought
leadership across a range of IT areas with a focus on
interoperability -- which is more important than ever as a
surge of new technologies promises unprecedented access to
information and increased productivity but complicates IT's
job.
