The CRM system is a critical part of Xinjiang Telecom's next generation Business Operation Support System (BOSS). Under the agreement, AsiaInfo will develop a CRM system to cover 14 cities and regions of Xinjiang. AsiaInfo will also supervise the integration of the entire BOSS system consisting of CRM, Billing and Operation Support System (OSS) and other peripheral systems.

"We are very happy to win our first CRM contract with China Telecom and extend the customer base for our industry-leading CRM solutions," said Steve Zhang, president and chief executive officer of AsiaInfo. "This landmark deal significantly expands our relationship with China Telecom and is a critical step as we work to increase our penetration of the BOSS market."

The BOSS system will be developed and implemented in compliance with China Telecom Group's Management/Business/Operation/Support System specification (CTG-MBOSS), which serves as a blueprint for China Telecom's next generation BOSS network. AsiaInfo was one of the six founding members of the CTG-MBOSS forum, which was established to promote cooperation in the development of CTC- MOBSS.

"We believe that the BOSS network evolution in China represents important market opportunities for AsiaInfo," added Steve Zhang. "This deal demonstrates our ability to capitalize on these market opportunities."
