YellowPages Corporation; operator of popular business directories and telephone books for nearly 100 years, today announced that www.YELLOWPAGES.travel is officially the Better Business Bureau of the international travel industry. The site serves as the travel arm of the company and aside from being a directory of travel businesses it is also a tool that enables users to search the top travel websites such as Expedia, Travelocity, Orbitz, Priceline, Kayak, HotWire, SideStep, Hotels.com and other major travel websites at the same time with one click without having to search each website individually.
Travel businesses around the globe can request to be certified by visiting www.YELLOWPAGES.travel/GetCertified. YellowPages will then do a thorough background check on the travel business through the Better Business Bureau (BBB), Travel Industry Association (TIA), local and federal police authorities and using various other entities to check if any negative complaints have been filed against the business. If the business is free of any complaints, they will be issued a certified logo which they can display on their website. The logo displays a check mark going through the YELLOWPAGES.travel logo with the words "Certified Travel Business by YellowPages. This certified logo is assigned a serial number and can be canceled and removed from the businesses website if at any time a complaint is filed against the business and is not resolved. Consumers can contact YELLOWPAGES.travel and file a complaint against any travel business that carries our logo. The logo also serves as a back link to YELLOWPAGES.travel which will increase the Google and Yahoo web rankings of any business that displays the logo.
The YellowPages Certification Process is a free public service by YellowPages Corporation and was developed and implemented to prevent consumers from doing business and utilizing the services of unethical travel businesses. Most consumers will not do a background check on the Hotel, Limousine Service, Vacation Rental or any other travel business they engage with. Consumers are urged to do business with certified travel businesses that carry the logo and instruct any travel business that is not certified to do so before doing business with them. Most international travel businesses can be certified within 48 hours free of charge.
To file a complaint against any travel business across the globe please email: Complaints (at) YELLOWPAGES.travel.
