Solar EnerTech Participates in China Green Technology Summit and Energy Conference

Menlo Park, Calif., Nov. 14 /Xinhua-PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Solar EnerTech Corp. (BULLETIN BOARD: SOEN) (the "Company") today announced that the Company will participate in the US-China Green Tech Summit at the 'Hyatt on the Bund' in Shanghai on November 14th. The Green Tech Summit serves as a gathering of the highest-ranking U.S. and Chinese business leaders and government officials currently working with renewable and clean energy. The event is aimed at aligning around 500 industry professionals and policy makers for the purpose of developing immediate green energy solutions and encouraging long-term collaboration between the US and China.

The event is being organized by the business communities of Shanghai and the San Francisco-Silicon Valley Bay Area of California, both of which are emerging as global centers for green tech development. Participants at this event include prominent U.S. government representatives including San Francisco mayor, Gavin Newsom and California senator, Diane Feinstein. Solar Enertech's Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Leo Young will deliver a company presentation to a delegation that includes both Chinese and U.S. investors, energy experts and top-level government leaders.

Mr. Young commented, "As the only California solar company with a manufacturing base in Shanghai, we are well positioned to benefit from increased clean technology relations between the U.S. and China. California represents a very large opportunity for the PV industry and we hope to benefit through our presence in both regions. There are a solid number of U.S./California-based PV system integrators looking for new suppliers and we believe our solar cells and modules can be utilized for residential housing projects, PV power stations, as well as for on and off-grid projects in the U.S. market. We believe this conference will also serve as an opportunity for Solar Enertech to increase the visibility of its unique solar product applications for the rapidly growing Chinese domestic market."
