Event Marketers Take a Tip from Rock Stars on Audience Engagement
Mozes (www.mozes.com) finds itself in familiar territory - audiences enthusiastically engaging in contests, getting inside information from famous personalities and sending text messages up to the event screen for all to see. Except now, it’s not just fans at the Rascal Flatts or Kid Rock concert, it’s business leaders at conferences asking questions of keynote speakers, chief marketing officers answering poll questions at an exclusive summit, or attendees at a trade show texting-in to win prizes from an exhibitor.
Rock stars may have paved the way for live event mobile interaction with the fans, but events of all kinds are now adopting this tool due to the critical need it fulfills: a way to engage and interact with an audience in a personal, powerful and cost-effective way.
“We used Mozes to broadcast important schedule reminders, including the commencement of keynotes and networking events. In addition, we leveraged text-to-screen during the Q&A portion of our speaker presentations,” said Kelly Koenig, Senior Director Sponsorship Sales, Event Marketing Summit. “Because our delegates’ schedules are so full, it’s a huge advantage to be able to send them timely reminders of when they’re supposed to be where. EMS is thrilled to have Mozes as a partner and look forward to many events together.”
Prior to powering text alerts at the Event Marketer Summit (EMS) in Chicago, April 27-29, Mozes also recently powered live text-to-screen commenting for both keynote speeches as well as breakout sessions at ad:tech San Francisco, April 21-23. Text-to-screen commenting allows members of the audience to text in their comment or question to the display screen in real-time. This feature increases audience participation, provides the texter with anonymity and enhances the quality of the discussion. The conference may moderate the text comments, which keeps questions crisp, on-target and relevant.
The above are just two of many examples of interactive mobile features that hundreds of events annually are turning to Mozes to provide. Other popular uses include real-time voting, sending a poll or trivia question to the phone, text-to-win contests and giveaways, sending pictures to the screen and voice interaction.
“Mozes live event features can easily be integrated into any kind of live event,” said Greg Estes, VP of Marketing. “More important than its ease of use, mobile is a highly effective tool to keep audiences of all kinds engaged and keep them coming back to your events.”
Mozes will be powering live mobile interaction at the following events this month:
- 50th Annual CLIO Awards
- SF Music Tech
- American Payroll Association’s 27th Annual Congress
- CMO Club Summit NYC
- Mix Nashville
Mozes powers hundreds of events annually, including, in-venue mobile activities for touring artists ranging from Kenny Chesney to Saving Abel and teams such as the Portland Trail Blazers and Nashville Predators. For more information, please contact info@mozes-inc.com.
