The record for the amount of free throws made in two minutes & the record for the amount of blindfolded free throws made in one minute was broken by Justin Kittredge of Boston, MA
Justin Kittredge of Boston, MA has achieved two new basketball world records. The first is for the amount of unassisted free throws made in two minutes. By completing 64 free throws in 120 seconds, averaging a basket every 1.875 seconds, Mr. Kittredge achieved the Guinness World Records™ record previously held at 60 shots by Olympic silver medalist and basketball star, Laurent Sciarra, of Paris, France. After practicing at Reebok, International headquarters in Canton, MA, Mr. Kittredge achieved the new world record onsite on May 14, 2009.
The second world record is for the amount of blindfolded free throws made in one minute. By completing 16 free throws in 60 seconds, Mr. Kittredge achieved his second Guinness World Records™record previously held at 5 shots by NBA star Chauncey Billups of the Denver Nuggets. Mr. Kittredge achieved the second new world record also onsite at Reebok, International headquarters on July 14, 2009, although just recently confirmed by Guinness World Records™ LTD.
Mr. Kittredge is the Senior Product Manager for Reebok’s Basketball Division and President and Founder of the basketball non-profit, Shooting Touch, Inc. located in Boston, MA. As a passionate and enthusiastic teacher of the game, Mr. Kittredge holds basketball instruction clinics for young men and women in and around the City of Boston. His clinics,held at the Boston Athletic Club, focus on teaching the fundamentals involved in all aspects of the game.
