The following is a letter to shareholders of Empire Energy International from CEO Malcolm Bendall.
Empire Energy International (Empire) (OTCBB:EEGC) advises shareholders today that we are pleased to provide you with this update information of our oil and gas venture here in Tasmania.
Great South Land Minerals Ltd’s application to Mineral Resources Tasmania (MRT) is now progressing, with numbers to the areas applied for issued; Exploration Licence (EL) 14/2009, which covers all the discoveries made by our seismic, gravity and magnetic surveys totalling less than 50% of the original Licence area of SEL 13/98 but still covering all the undiscovered potential resources found within the seismically defined structures calculated by RPS. The second area applied for; (issued number (SEL) 13/2009; Special Exploration Licence); by Empire Energy Corporation International, our parent company, covers the offshore areas along the east and south east coast of Tasmania. What is envisaged to be mainly focused on; with this acquisition; is the marine seismic offshore area of Tasmanian.

On following the link you should be directed to a page headed “Search for Tenements.” In the field “Tenement Reference” type either EL14/2009 or SEL13/2009 in the space.
After due process has been completed by MRT for both Licences, including advertising for objections; then any issues must be attended to before final approval is granted by the Minister for Energy and Resources.
Once this has occurred we will be able to continue with our onshore seismic, gravity, magnetic and drilling program and further marine seismic work off shore to the continental shelf east of Hobart within our Licence boundaries.
