The Journal of Commerce Continues to Invest in Audience Development and Marketing Services

NEWARK, N.J., Oct. 20 /PRNewswire/ -- Recent staffing additions at The Journal of Commerce underscore a continued commitment to audience development and marketing services.

Christine Oldenbrook, a leading Audience Development executive who recently joined UBM Global Trade as Vice President of Audience Development, brings to The Journal of Commerce extensive experience in developing targeted audiences for business Web sites and publications. She will immediately execute strategies that expand the JOC's target audience and that depend on sound reporting, transparency and insight into the transportation and logistics market. Christine will also work closely with the Marketing Services team to ensure that marketing through The Journal of Commerce provides strong solutions that reach highly targeted and engaged audiences in every JOC channel.

"These are exciting times at The Journal of Commerce and I'm thrilled to be part of this dynamic team. My experience in driving highly engaged audiences will deliver the results our JOC partners can expect," Oldenbrook said.

The Journal of Commerce Marketing Services sales team is led by Alli McEntyre, recently promoted to Vice President of Marketing Services, and will cover advertising and sponsorship sales. Alli has 10 years experience working in the industry and is well known for her drive and commitment to her clients.

"I am delighted to have the opportunity to lead the JOC sales team into 2010, continuing our commitment to innovative solutions by partnering with our clients to develop communication strategies that align with their long-term marketing objectives," McEntyre said.

Some familiar and some new faces also join the team: Cate Avolio returns to The Journal of Commerce after working in associated media for a number of years. She brings with her a tremendous knowledge of the international trade market place. Also joining the team is Elizabeth Eldridge, who most recently was Eastern Sales Director for Light Reading, an online media research company that is also part of UBM. With a wealth of online and sponsorship sales knowledge she is the perfect addition to the team.

Rounding out the Marketing Services team are Tony Stein and Anne Morris. Tony Stein, previously with Traffic World and Air Cargo World, has been an integral part of the JOC team since March 2009 and provides a great deal of knowledge of the ground, air and third-party logistics sectors. Anne Morris previously focused exclusively on sponsorship sales for JOC Conferences and will now bring sponsorship experience and that of a long career in advertising to serve JOC's marketing customers in print, online, in-person and virtual events.

"I am delighted we have built such a strong team heading into 2010," said Liam Power, Vice President Publisher, The Journal of Commerce. "Nothing is more important in today's world than engaging your audience with actionable news and data, while also providing solutions that deliver the best ROI for our clients' marketing investments."

The Journal of Commerce, through its Web site, weekly magazine and conferences, provides authoritative content for international logistics executives to help them plan their global supply chain and better manage their day-to-day international logistics and shipping needs.
