25 companies have been selected by an international jury to present their retail concepts and shopping centre projects in a series of MAPIC Speed Matching sessions.
The selected companies, which were chosen because of their innovative and dynamic projects, consist of 15 retailers who are launching new brands or developing existing brands internationally and 10 shopping centres looking for retailers or investors.
“Speed Matching is a rapid, efficient and interactive way for MAPIC delegates to meet future partners and kick-start their projects. The 25 selected companies will each have seven minutes to present their projects to investors, developers, retailers and city representatives during five Speed Matching sessions,” explains MAPIC Director Nathalie Depetro.
Hiro N Harjan, Managing Director, Aftershock Group (India), and a Speed Matching participant in 2008, recalls his experience: “The Speed Matching session was extremely useful in raising the awareness of our brand. It also generated several enquiries from Morocco, Algeria, Latvia and Romania where Aftershock had not been present previously.”
