Awards Include Innovative Technology and the Eco-Friendly Samsung Reclaim™
The Consumer Electronics Association (CEA) has recognized Samsung Telecommunications America, (Samsung Mobile), the No. 1 mobile phone provider in the U.S.1, with six prestigious CES 2010 Innovation Awards. Products entered in the CES Innovations program are judged by a prominent panel of industrial designers, engineers and members of the media.
Samsung Mobile phones selected as Innovation Honorees feature differentiating technology and innovation, including ultra-brilliant AMOLED displays, HD video recording and playback, Google Android operating system, 800 MhZ processor, and eco-friendly design and packaging. The honored products include the Samsung Omnia® II™, Samsung Moment™, Samsung Rogue™, Samsung Instinct® HD and Samsung Reclaim™. All of Samsung's award-winning products will be on display during the 2010 International CES, January 7-10, 2010, in Samsung booth # 11026 in the Central Hall of the Las Vegas Convention Center.
The AMOLED displays are an exclusive innovation from Samsung that provide brighter, crisper colors and enhanced clarity while viewing video or pictures on the phone at any angle. The Samsung Omnia II, Moment and Rogue all offer this advanced screen technology to users.
The Samsung Reclaim, the first phone in the U.S. constructed from eco-friendly bio-plastic materials, was honored in the eco-design category. Made from 80 percent recyclable materials, Samsung Reclaim is a feature-rich messaging phone that offers environmentally conscious customers a perfect blend of responsibility without sacrificing the latest in must-have features. The Reclaim is also designed with environmentally responsible components and fully recyclable packaging.
