Online sports retailer continues revenue growth, strengthens its commitment to customers by investing in sophisticated commerce technology
ATG (Art Technology Group Inc., NASDAQ: ARTG), the premier provider of cross-channel commerce solutions, today announced it will work with Netshoes, a leading Brazilian sports retailer, to re-launch the company's Web store, netshoes.com.br.
Netshoes selected ATG to create an enhanced Web presence that will allow the company to grow its online business, attract new customers, and accommodate the evolving needs of its existing consumer base. ATG Commerce will enable Netshoes to deliver a personalized and relevant shopping experience to its online customers.
"Netshoes prides itself on providing sports fans and athletic enthusiasts with the highest quality apparel, footwear, accessories, and equipment that suits their personal needs," said Marcio Kumruian, chief operating officer and founder, Netshoes. "Since Netshoes' inception in 2000, our main focus has been providing exceptional service to our customers, and we're proud of what we have accomplished thus far. Shoppers around the world have become increasingly Web savvy and it's imperative for smart companies to evaluate their online presence and focus their investments on best-in-class commerce capabilities. That's what drove us to ATG to re-launch our Web store."
There were two key ATG partners involved in the Netshoes implementation: F.biz, a local agency in Brazil, and Object Edge, an IT solution services company, which were both critical players in getting the Netshoes site launched. Together they drove the selection process, design and implementation of the new Web store. F.biz is one of the leading interactive agencies in Brazil and is a key, long-term Netshoes partner. F.biz is responsible for the overall e-commerce and sales conversion strategy for Netshoes, and the company studied and compared the leading platforms in Brazil, those noted on the Internet Retailer Top 500, and on Forrester's e-commerce platform evaluation reports before presenting a recommendation for Netshoes. They found that ATG was the only technology that could power the "customer-first experience" Netshoes was looking for.
In searching for an e-commerce provider, Netshoes focused on identifying a partner that would fulfill its corporate ethos of providing a unique and compelling experience to its customers. After surveying a number of local and global e-commerce providers, Netshoes turned to ATG to realize its long-term goals for growth.
"Netshoes' steadfast commitment to providing its customers with an enhanced, personalized shopping experience mirrors ATG's capabilities perfectly," said Nina McIntyre, ATG senior vice president and chief marketing officer. "The ATG Commerce platform provides the foundation for e-commerce and cross-channel operations for hundreds of brands worldwide. We're thrilled to be working with one of South America's most recognized brands and look forward to helping Netshoes achieve new levels of success."
ATG Commerce is a comprehensive, flexible, highly scalable e-commerce platform that drives every phase of a personalized online shopping experience. By making shopping and buying experiences more personal and fulfilling for visitors, commerce sites deployed on the ATG platform yield higher conversion rates and order sizes.
