(OTC Bulletin Board: CBAI), the umbilical cord blood stem cell preservation company (http://www.cordblood-america.com/) focused on bringing the life saving potential of stem cells, a biological insurance policy, to families nationwide and internationally, today said that it has retired almost $6 million worth of notes which had been provided by Enable Capital Management, LLC and their affiliates between 2007 and 2009.
"It is important for shareholders to understand the importance of reducing debt and strengthening our balance sheet," said Matthew Schissler, CEO and co-founder, Cord Blood America. "We truly appreciate Enable Capital Management for financing critical growth periods for CBAI. We are happy to report that all of our obligations with Enable Capital Management are paid in full." The total debt retired since January of 2009 is approaching $11 million.
Mr. Schissler also thanked the more than 200 investors and guests who attended the Company's Grand Opening in Las Vegas on Friday, January 22.
