Virtutech to Address Benefits of Virtual Hardware to Streamline and Accelerate Embedded Software Development
Virtutech®, Inc., the leader in virtualized systems development (VSD), today announced it will be participating in two sessions at DesignCon 2010, February 1-4, 2010 at the Santa Clara Convention Center in Santa Clara, Calif.
Today, more than ever, companies are seeking to deliver innovative ecosystem solutions that drive revenue and speed time-to-market. For design teams, this presents a significant challenge. In simpler times, hardware was just a fast CPU with a lot of memory. As speeds and functions grew, however, application-driven designs and the systems that run them have become more complex.
Michel Genard, vice president of marketing, will join a panel of experts to discuss "Next Wave: SoC Architecture, Standards and Tools Speed Application-driven Ecosystem Solution Development." Genard will describe how Virtutech's Simics® uniquely solves challenges in definition, development and deployment for advanced systems involving System on Chip (SoC).

David Beal, technical marketing manager, will describe "Virtualized Systems Development for Heterogeneous Multi-core and Multi-architecture Systems." This presentation will offer a brief history of computing systems to show how complex the system environment and its resultant development tasks have become. Using animation, Beal will show how key, and otherwise impossible, development capabilities including synchronized system stop, full-system checkpoints and reverse execution allow software and systems developers to ease and speed development and deployment of complex systems and SoC devices.
