Telco Systems, a multi-service Carrier Ethernet access and demarcation solution provider today announces successful participation in extensive interoperability tests organized by EANTC AG (European Advanced Networking Test Center) for its complete line of carrier Ethernet products . This year's EANTC test network focused strongly on advanced MPLS and mobile backhaul testing, as well as MPLS and Ethernet-based transport and access. The results are being showcased this week during the MPLS & Ethernet World Congress in Paris.
Telco Systems tested successfully with a number of vendors in the following areas:
- Precision Time Protocol version 2 (PTPv2) defined in IEEE 1588-2008 for phase and frequency clock synchronization
- Combination of IEEE 1588-2008 and Synchronous Ethernet to simplify delivery of frequency information to the base stations
- Ethernet Synchronous Messaging Channel (ESMC) to signal quality level to the network
- Structure agnostic circuit emulation over Ethernet pseudowires (SAToP and MEF8)
- Ethernet Ring Protection Switching (ERPS – G.8032)
- MPLS to the Access (PWE3)
- Pseudowire Resiliency
- Performance Monitoring (ITU-T Y.1731) of two-way frame loss and frame delay
""Telco Systems successfully participated in a broad range of sophisticated MPLS and Carrier Ethernet test scenarios," said Carsten Rossenhoevel, Managing Director at EANTC. "There is a lot of innovation in aggregation, enterprise access and cell site solutions these days; we appreciate Telco Systems' continued commitment to independent quality assurance of their advanced solutions in these areas."
