SAS announced today that Gartner Inc. has placed it in the Leaders quadrant in their latestMagic Quadrant for Business Intelligence Platformsreport.1
This puts SAS among the vendors Gartner says "are reasonably strong in the breadth and depth of their BI platform capabilities and can deliver on enterprise-wide implementations that support a broad BI strategy. Leaders articulate a business proposition that resonates with buyers, supported by the viability and operational capability to deliver on a global basis."
"In addition to the findings of the Gartner report, SAS customers constantly validate our product strategy, our service and vision," said Jim Davis, Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer at SAS. "Our software builds upon a foundation of the best, most widely deployed analytics in the industry. Our loyal customers include many who have successfully tied their organization's future to SAS® technology."
SAS continues to innovate and deliver powerful technology to its global customers. The company recently extended the power of SAS BI to users of Microsoft Outlook, the world's most widely used business e-mail client. Customers most comfortable with Microsoft Office applications – including Outlook – can run reports and retrieve information for critical decisions without leaving the application.
A cornerstone of the powerful SAS Business Analytics Framework, SAS Business Intelligence helps organizations answer complex questions and position themselves for optimal success. This broad technology set meets the needs of a wide range of user types: C-level executives to frontline business professionals and highly skilled analysts to casual, occasional users.
The SAS Business Analytics Framework encompasses BI, data integration, advanced analytics and a broad set of horizontal and industry-specific business solutions that provide insights for quick action. Powered by core technology such as SAS Enterprise BI Server, only SAS offers such a range of integrated technologies and solutions.
