TVGuide.com announced today that it has added Twitter's new Follow Button to more than 400 of the site's top TV show, celebrity, and sports fan pages, allowing entertainment fans to easily follow the verified Twitter accounts of their favorites without leaving the site. In addition, TVGuide.com's 23 million unique users will be able to instantly follow TVGuide.com from the header of every page and follow editors' Twitter accounts from their stories.
TVGuide.com will feature the follow button on the most popular fan pages for 150 TV shows, 130 celebrities and for all 122 team pages for Major League Baseball, the National Football League, the National Basketball Association and the National Hockey League.
TVGuide.com users are social influencers and avid users of social media who use social networks to recommend shows to friends and to regularly connect with TV shows and celebrities. A recent site survey revealed that:
- 70 percent who use Twitter have retweeted celebrities' tweets
- 68 percent have @replied to celebrities' verified accounts
