Entrepreneurial Co-Founder of Fast-Growing Innocent Drinks, Richard Reed, Will Keynote
Supply Chain Council (SCC, www.supply-chain.org), a global nonprofit management association, has announced the agenda for Supply Chain World Europe. The annual conference will take place later this year, 23-25 October, in Amsterdam.
"We decided to shake things up this year," said Hans Ehm, principal supply chain management of Infineon Technologies, and conference chair. "In addition to the economic uncertainty in Europe, which remains top of mind for many supply chain executives, we decided to focus on what companies can do to grow successfully despite market conditions. Setting the tone will be Richard Reed, co-founder of Innocent Drinks, who will talk about his company's unique story and rapid growth."
Starting from nothing in 1999, Innocent's 100% fruit smoothies are now ubiquitous on U.K. shop shelves. Today the company employs more than 250 people and reports annual turnover exceeding £100 million. In 2010 Coca-Cola took a majority ownership stake in the company with a pledge to further help expand retail distribution into the rest of Europe.
"Managing growth is one of the key responsibilities of supply chain managers," added Ehm. "The speakers at Supply Chain World Europe come from every industrial sector, from high tech to automotive. They will share their success strategies for cost effectively responding to changing customer demands and market expansion."
The conference agenda features presentations by leading academics and senior supply chain leaders. Two concurrent tracks will feature over 20 presentations. Other companies that will be represented by speakers at the three-day conference include: 3M, Avineo, BMW, Cisco, Franklin Covey, Heineken, Intel, and UTi.
Discounted registration fees for groups of four or more registrants are available. All conference sessions and receptions will take place at the Hotel Dorint Amsterdam Airport. Program details and registration information are available on the Supply Chain World Europe website (www.supplychainworld.org/europe).
