Yingli Green Energy Selected for 10 MW AC New Jersey Oak Solar Power Plant

BAODING, China and SAN FRANCISCO, Aug. 18, 2011 /PRNewswire-Asia-FirstCall/ -- Yingli Green Energy Holding Company Limited (NYSE: YGE) ("Yingli Green Energy" or the "Company"), a leading solar energy company and one of the world's largest vertically integrated photovoltaic ("PV") manufacturers, which markets its products under the brand "Yingli Solar", announced today that its U.S. subsidiary, Yingli Green Energy Americas, Inc. ("Yingli Americas"), has been selected by Lincoln Renewable Energy, LLC ("LRE"), a leading U.S. solar and wind power developer, to deliver 10 megawatts ("MW") AC of Yingli Solar modules for its New Jersey Oak Solar PV Power Plant in Fairfield Township, Cumberland County, New Jersey. The project is being constructed by Quanta Renewable Energy Services and The Ryan Company under a comprehensive engineering, procurement and construction services agreement with LRE. When completed later this year, the New Jersey Oak Solar project will be the largest non-utility owned solar project east of the Mississippi.

The 10 MW solar power plant will utilize 55,000 YGE-235 Series high efficiency, multicrystalline modules, which deliver a module efficiency of up to 15 percent. Yingli Solar multicrystalline modules deliver above-average energy yields, minimizing installation costs and maximizing kilowatt hour output. Last month, Yingli Americas announced a milestone of over 250 MW in North American sales and expects to capture 15 percent of the U.S. market share in 2011.
