"Nothing says Thanksgiving holidays like movie outings with the family and theatre goers in Havelock, NC can be especially thankful this week for the much-anticipated Wednesday re-opening of their 'new and improved' Carmike Cinema 6," notes David Passman, Carmike's President and CEO.
After a two and a half month complete overhaul and facelift from damage left in August by Hurricane Irene, the Carmike 6, located at Highway 70 and McCotter Boulevard, is emerging top to bottom like a new theatre, that includes luxurious seats, new carpeting throughout, freshly appointed drapes and wall treatments, upgraded state-of-the-art sound systems in each auditorium, and a completely newly designed concessions area.
Carmike's commitment to bring Havelock's Cinema 6 back to area movie-goers as an even better entertainment destination demonstrates the Company's commitment to providing an exceptional guest experience. Cinema 6 will be re-opening with a strong lineup of movies. Seven major releases will light the screens including the much anticipated 'Twilight Series Breaking Dawn – Part 1,' last weekend's top box office draw, 'The Immortals,' and Adam Sandler's latest comedy release, 'Jack & Jill.' Family-oriented holiday fare also includes' Arthur Christmas,' 'Happy Feet Two,' available in 3D, along with 'The Muppets' and 'Puss In Boots.'
Mayton adds: "We're right on top of the Thanksgiving season with all the 'must see' movies. There's a lot of excitement about having Cinema 6 back up and running in Havelock."
