| Description | SEMBCORP STAKE IN SEMBCORP UTILITIES (NETHERLANDS) N.V. RISES TO 98.31% Singapore, January 9, 2012 - Sembcorp Industries (Sembcorp) today announces that its shareholding in Sembcorp Utilities (Netherlands) N.V., formerly known as Cascal N.V., has increased from 97.66 % to 98.31% following the completion of the transfer of 200,000 shares from WAGCAP Advisors LLC to its wholly-owned subsidiary, Sembcorp Utilities. The consideration of US$6.75 per share is the same as the price paid by Sembcorp under the voluntary tender offer under which it acquired the 97.66% stake. The acquisition was funded from internal resources and is not expected to have a material impact on the earnings per share and net asset value per share of Sembcorp Group for the financial year ended December 31, 2011. |
