The company has four major projects, the Bob Lake, Knob Hill, Moore, and Girard properties, all situated in the Labrador Trough of Quebec.
The company has an option to earn a 100% interest in the full land package, which totals 41,500 hectares, and is adjacent to substantial iron projects such as those of Adriana Resources and New Millennium.
Today's results came from drill hole ZR11-08, which was collared in a magnetite-rich iron formation on a 5 kilometre long airborne magnetic anomaly in the western part of the Girard claim group. The Girard claim group encompasses 602 claims with a total area of 28,238 hectares.
Iron contents of individual samples over core lengths of between 1.5 and 2.0 metres ranged from 23.49% iron up to a maximum of 45.55% iron, with an average of 35.77% over the entire 243 metre intersection. This hole is 21 kilometres west of Hole ZR11-09, which was drilled on a separate, 9 kilometre long magnetic anomaly. Previous results from Hole ZR11-09 showed 35.64% iron over 137 metres. As both holes were drilled at a 50 degree incline and collared in iron formation, the full width of the magnetite zone was not tested.
Charles Desjardins, President and CEO of Zone Resources stated, "We are excited about the potential of the Girard Project. With numerous magnetic anomalies over an aggregate length of 75 kilometres, we plan to focus Zone's initial 2012 drill program at Girard. While our initial work will continue to focus on magnetite iron formations, the historical information has lead us to believe the property has excellent potential to yield higher grade hematite rich zones which we hope to begin to follow up on later in 2012."
The company recently raised $1.1 million consisting of 4.6 million flow-through units priced at $0.10, and 8.4 million non flow-through units priced at $0.08. These units have a 4 month hold period, expiring on April 20th.
The company has also engaged Grandich Publications to provide investor relations and corporate communications for a period of one year, subject to exchange approval. The Grandich Letter, which dates back to 1984, is published by Peter Grandich and provides coverage of the metals and mining industry.
