As announced on October 26, 2011 (see the following link for more information:
www.nasdaqomx.com/classificationchanges), NASDAQ OMX will adopt the Industry
Classification Benchmark (ICB) as a company classification standard within the
company. The change will be effective as of February 1, 2012.
All NASDAQ OMX local and regional sector indexes, based on the GICS structure, will be discontinued as of February 1, 2012, and replaced by equivalent indexes based on the ICB structure.
The Benchmark-series will have its selection methods revised during the second quarter of 2012. The revised rules will be made effective in connection to the mid-year reviews in June, 2012.
In line with the change, we have made major changes in the below sections:
