Included Are New Heads of Fixed Income Markets and Coverage for Americas, and Head of M&A in US and Canada
Crédit Agricole Corporate and Investment Bank, Crédit Agricole Group's corporate and investment banking arm, today announced three new senior executive appointments.
Frederic Truchot and Stéphane Publie were named Head of Fixed Income Markets and Head of Coverage for Americas, respectively, in addition to being appointed to the Management Committee. In addition, Renaud Latreille was named Head of Mergers & Acquisitions for the U.S. and Canada. All are based in New York City.
"It is a pleasure to announce the appointment of all three individuals, each of whom has extensive banking experience and have already distinguished themselves in other important positions with Crédit Agricole," said Jean-François Deroche, Crédit Agricole-CIB's Senior Regional Officer for the Americas Region and US Senior Country Officer. "Also, no less important, these promotions speak to our continuing commitment to serving our present clients and also expanding our role in the Americas, a market we view as remaining highly significant as part of our Bank's increasing global and cross border activities and transactions."
Mr. Truchot, with over 20 years with Crédit Agricole, and most recently Head of Capital Markets Japan, succeeds and will report to Mr. Deroche, who in December 2011 assumed the position as the bank's senior officer in the Americas. Mr. Truchot will report globally to Thomas Gadenne, Global Head of Fixed Income in Paris. Mr. Truchot, prior to assuming his most recent position in Japan in 2007, spent seven years as Head of Derivatives Sales and Structuring for Asia ex-Japan, based in Hong Kong. He joined the former Credit Lyonnais Montreal in 1988, before moving in 1992 to Paris as DCM Origination, which was followed by an assignment involving Derivatives Marketing in London in 1998.
Mr. Publie, having joined Credit Lyonnais in France in 1988 as an intern, most recently was Senior Banker at CA-CIB, a position he held for the past seven years. While at Credit Lyonnais, he held a succession of increasingly responsible positions involving corporate relationships and executive positions in France and the U.S. As CA-CIB Senior Banker, Mr. Publie, in addition to being in charge of a portfolio of large clients of the Bank, also served as a senior executive in structured credits (including LBO and Leveraged Finance), debt capital markets (securitization and high yield bonds) and investment banking (M&A, IPO, exchangeable bonds, ESOP and Equity derivatives). He reports to Mr. Deroche.
Mr. Latreille joined CA-CIB in Paris in 1999 where he was in charge of Equity Capital Market origination to large French and European corporations. In 2004 he moved to the US, where he was responsible for equity derivatives for Latin America. Four years later, he was made head of Strategic Equity in New York. In his new assignment Mr. Latreille will also be responsible for originating M&A cross-border deals in the U.S. and Canada, as well as for execution of transactions in North America for the bank's main global clients, especially those based in Europe and Latin America, as well as in originating cross border deals in the U.S. and Canada. Earlier in his career, Mr. Latreille also served with AXA, Sumitomo Bank and Caisse Des Depots Et Consignations (CDC). In his new position he reports to Mr. Publie.
