Netronome, the leading developer of network flow processors, today announced that Daniel Proch, director of product management, will be among the industry experts presenting at the Linley Tech Data Center Conference 2012 taking place February 7 - 8 at the Doubletree Hotel in San Jose, California. Mr. Proch's presentation, "Processing Considerations for OpenFlow-based Software Defined Networking (SDN)," will take place February 8 at 12:45 p.m. Mr. Proch will discuss how SDN and OpenFlow could revolutionize the way data centers and carrier networks are built and maintained.
"OpenFlow garnered significant interest in the industry recently. Many believe that it is the final link between virtualized network infrastructure and virtualized computing resources and will make cloud computing infrastructure far more efficient and less costly to operate," said Mr. Proch. "Netronome was founded on the idea of flow-based processing of network data, and we are excited to be part of the evolution of packet processing into flow processing. Netronome is at the forefront of the movement, driving the innovation and adoption of scalable, open, and secure solutions for virtualized cloud and data center networks."
"Attendees of the 2012 Linley Tech Data Center Conference will learn how virtualization, flat networks and hardware standardization are deployed in public and private clouds," said Jag Bolaria, senior analyst at The Linley Group. "We welcome back Mr. Proch as a conference speaker and look forward to disclosure of Netronome's perspective for enabling OpenFlow networking in data centers."

About OpenFlow
OpenFlow is an open standard that enables researchers to run experimental protocols in the campus networks that are used every day. OpenFlow is added as a feature to commercial Ethernet switches, routers and wireless access points – and provides a standardized hook to allow researchers to run experiments, without requiring vendors to expose the internal workings of their network devices.
