CUYAHOGA FALLS, Ohio, Feb. 29, 2012 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Life for Relief and Development, an American charitable non-profit organization, will be hosting a major fundraising dinner in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, to support its humanitarian relief efforts for the needy in Syria and Syrian refugees in Jordan on the evening of Saturday, March 3, 2012.
Organizers have set a goal of collecting $50,000 during the event, with proceeds going to provide humanitarian assistance to needy civilians inside Syria as well as to Syrian refugees in Jordan. Life, with offices in both Jordan and Syria, will deliver the food and other emergency humanitarian assistance to the most needy who have fled their homes due to the upheaval in Syria.
The program includes a keynote address by Dr. Talal Sunbulli, president of the Syrian-American Council. Dr. Sunbulli, who is a physician, will brief the audience on the current humanitarian crisis in Syria and discuss prospects for a peaceful end to the bloodshed in that country.
