--Casio DT-X8 to ship pre-loaded with Wavelink's mobile device management and terminal emulation software --
Enterprise mobility management company, Wavelink, today announced a partnership with Casio to pre-load its Avalanche, Terminal Emulation (TE), and Industrial Browser products on Casio's DT-X8 model hand-held warehouse device.
Through this partnership, new Casio DT-X8 customers can quickly deploy the pre-loaded Wavelink Avalanche, Wavelink Terminal Emulation (TE), and Wavelink Industrial Browser across their enterprise. Existing DT-X8 customers interested can visit Wavelink's site to download the software to their device.
"Managing a mobile device environment across an enterprise is an extremely challenging job," said John Martin, Director of Sales EMEA at Wavelink. "This partnership simplifies the deployment and management of that environment with Avalanche, while also giving Casio DT-X8 customers the most widely used TE platform on the market."
"This partnership further supports Casio's growth within the mobility sector," explains Guy Boxall, Senior Product Marketing Manager at Casio. "Having Wavelink's mobility software preloaded on the ultra-rugged DT-X8 provides faster and very efficient product integration for our customers."
Every Casio DT-X8 comes pre-loaded with the following Wavelink software:
- Wavelink Avalanche enables remote hands-free setup and management of hand-held devices from the initial stages of provisioning, all phases of mobile computer use, returning devices into the population from service, repair or alternative use, and into retirement.
- Wavelink Terminal Emulation (TE) is the market leader with over 4 million clients installed. TE is a complete environment, available to every device running Wavelink TE at no additional cost. The environment includes Session Persistence, Screen Reformatter, and high level of customization with settings and configuration options, and automation of data entry using scripting tools.
- Wavelink Industrial Browser allows customers to access traditional host-based apps and web-based apps with one software deliverable. The Industrial Browser offers features to integrate scanning, security, speech and security for workers using web-based apps.
