Gouda - Imtech (IM-AE, technical services provider in and outside Europe) calls on stakeholders (customers, employees, students, consumers, co-operation partners, advisers, starting entrepreneurs, inventors and others) with good 'Green Tech' ideas to participate in the international 'Imtech Promotes Green Talent' contest. Participants have the chance to win a cash prize or an iPad. Imtech is also offering the winner the opportunity of Imtech technical specialist support to bring their idea to 'life' and launch it on the market.
René van der Bruggen, CEO Imtech: 'Green Tech is a spearhead in Imtech's portfolio. Approximately 30 percent of our revenue (more than 5.1 billion euro) comes from sustainable projects including green buildings, waste to power plants, biogas power plants, green ships etc., and these activities are demonstrating strong structural growth. We work daily in various competence centres on new technology concepts for sustainability. With this contest we're primarily reaching out to those people who want to think with us.'
Green boffins anywhere in the world
With 'Imtech Promotes Green Talent' Imtech is aiming at 'green boffins' outside and inside Imtech, anywhere in the world; anybody with a good 'greentech' idea can participate.
Imtech has launched a separate website for the contest: http://www.imtech.eu/greentalent. Participants can explain their idea here. The contest will be promoted via social media. There's also a special campaign video which can be viewed on Imtech's YouTube channel. The promotion is running via Twitter and Facebook.
The deadline for submitting green ideas is 27 April. After that candidates can solicit votes for their concept on Facebook. In the final round finalists have to explain their idea to an international jury, composed of Imtech top management. In order to save CO2, judging will take place via video conferencing. Imtech will announce the results on 22 June. In addition to technical support, the winner will receive a cash prize of 2,500 euro. Those coming 2nd and 3rd will receive an iPad.
