The Main Street America Group has introduced its commercial product line, featuring its flagship Main Line Business Owners Policy (Main Line BOP), to approximately 100 independent agents who represent the super regional property/casualty insurance carrier's Grain Dealers Mutual Insurance Company throughout Oklahoma.
Main Line BOP, a property and liability product for small business owners, features especially broad eligibility.
"Nearly 500 classes of businesses quality for Main Line BOP, which is nearly 85 percent of the small business market," said Henry Pippins, president of Grain Dealers Mutual and Main Street America's Midwest Region.
"Small business has been the fastest-growing segment of the economy," Pippins added. "We are pleased to bring our Oklahoma agent-customers our Main Line BOP to help them take advantage of this tremendous opportunity in a commercial market that is beginning to firm."
Main Line BOP provides standard BOP coverages, as well as some 50 additional ones. For example, its features include no waiting period for business income, business income/ordinary payroll coverage for up to 12 months, and generous money and securities coverage.
The small business owners insurance product also includes extensive equipment breakdown insurance, and coverages particularly important today, such as employment practices liability and identity theft. And a wide range of endorsements can be added to extend coverage further.
"With its many coverages and options, our agents have told us that our Main Line BOP is one of the best products on the market today," Pippins said.
In addition to Main Line BOP, Grain Dealers Mutual agents in Oklahoma also received access to Main Street America's workers' compensation and commercial umbrella products. Commercial auto will be introduced in Oklahoma later in the year.
Grain Dealers Mutual's independent agent distribution force in Oklahoma will quote and issue policies for the new products on Main Street America's Main Street Station policy processing system. The system features real time rating and automated underwriting, which significantly speeds policy turnaround. This state-of-the-art system also provides agents with the ability to execute "what if" quoting, in which they can change deductibles or other policy features to see its impact on premium.
Oklahoma is the 21st state to receive Main Street America's Main Line BOP. The product is now available in Arizona, Connecticut, Delaware, Indiana, Georgia, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Nevada, New Hampshire, New York, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Tennessee, Utah, Vermont and Virginia.
