ANNOUNCEMENT UNDER THE FINNISH SECURITIES MARKET ACT, CHAPTER 2, SECTION 10 OF A CHANGE IN THE SHAREHOLDING IN OUTOTEC OYJ

In accordance with the Securities Market Act, Chapter 2, Section 10 Outotec Oyj announces that holdings of BlackRock, Inc. (USA Tax ID 32-0174421, SEC CIK Code#: 0001364742) - voting right held by BlackRock Investment Management (UK) Limited - in shares of Outotec Oyj (OTE1V) on April 18, 2012 exceeded 5% and were 2,311,857 shares, which represents 5.05% of the share capital and votes in the company.

The share capital of Outotec Oyj consists of 45,780,373 shares and each share is entitled to one vote at the general meeting of shareholders.
