Balfour Beatty Communities Foundation (Foundation), a non-profit organization committed to honoring military personnel—active, disabled and fallen—and their families, will hold its fifth annual 'Swing 4 Scholarships' charity golf tournament on Thursday, May 24 at the Nemacolin Woodlands Resort located in the Laurel Highlands of Southwestern Pennsylvania. Proceeds from the event will support Foundation efforts, including the Foundation's scholarship program which awards post-secondary school financial assistance to children of active duty service members residing in a Balfour Beatty Communities housing installation.
"We are so pleased to bring the popular Swing 4 Scholarships Tournament back for a fifth year," said Chris Williams, President of the Balfour Beatty Communities Foundation. "It is always an exciting outing enjoyed by all of the participants. But most importantly, this event—and the generosity of our sponsors and participants—has allowed us to grow our scholarship program and other Foundation efforts aimed at honoring our military personnel, their families and the valued contributions they make to our country."
The tournament will commence at Nemacolin's signature Mystic Rock Golf Course with a 'hole-in-one shootout' and other games followed by a shotgun start with foursomes competing in a scramble format. The day will also include a sport clay shooting challenge and other resort events before wrapping up with a dinner reception and awards ceremony.
