Lars Olofsson informed Carrefour's Board of Directors that he considered that all the required conditions were met to shorten the transition period that began on January 29, 2012. He also informed the Board members of his decision to retire. The Board, at its meeting on May 23, took note of his resignation as Director and Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, effective immediately.
The Board of Directors coopted Georges Plassat as Director, replacing Lars Olofsson for the remaining duration of his mandate.
The Board of Directors named Georges Plassat as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, effective on May 23rd.
