The curriculum for the 2013 program, which is subtitled "Strategic Leadership at the Top," will be based on three pillars: thinking strategically, leading strategically and influencing strategically. Applications are invited from senior-level executives who have at least 12 years' management experience and are currently in significant leadership roles at any size company, public or private.

TEP is an on-site, four-week program in Charlottesville, Virginia. Participants will learn from Darden's highly acclaimed faculty, who deliver a transformational learning experience built on business best practices, the latest academic research and Darden's signature case study method and learning-team approach. With support from a team of seven faculty members, participants will hone their abilities to reconcile differing viewpoints, make decisions amidst uncertainty, and persuade and inspire others. The curriculum's core content is designed to develop global and strategic acumen and organizational and personal growth.
TEP also features flexible enrichment activities (e.g., touring Thomas Jefferson's Monticello), a wellness component and a three-day guest program. Participants identify a strategic or leadership management challenge at work, frame the issue with their professors and classmates and return to their jobs with fresh ideas and approaches.
