The U.S. equity market rose sharply for a second successive trading session on Wednesday, June 26, 2013. All three benchmark indexes rose as disappointing first quarter GDP data raised hopes that the Federal Reserve will not start to wind down its $85 billion a month bond buying program in the near future. The U.S. GDP grew 1.80% in the first quarter which is below the preliminary estimate of 2.40% growth. The S&P 500 rose 0.96% on Wednesday. All sectors in the S&P 500 closed higher.
