Jabil Selects BT To Standardize Global Networked IT Services

IRVING, Texas, April 1, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- BT today announced that is has signed a seven-year contract with Jabil Circuit, Inc. for the outsourcing of managed network services, including wide area and local area networks, mobility, security, voice, and telephony infrastructure and collaboration services. Jabil, a global leader in Electronic Manufacturing Systems (EMS), partners with some of the world's top brands to design, build and deliver products to market.

Under the terms of the contract, Jabil will leverage the BT Connect portfolio of network services to standardize its global architecture across 25 countries and 112 locations, spanning the US, Latin America, Asia, Europe, Middle East and Africa. Jabil will also use BT One products and services to create a unified communications ecosystem for better global collaboration among its 175,000 employees as well as with customers and suppliers. BT Assure services will add gateway security and resilience around the world, protecting the Jabil brand, employees and their customers. In addition, BT will help deliver on Jabil's architectural vision for consolidation of suppliers, reduced complexities and consistency of service model to streamline operational processes and achieve cost reduction targets.
