BNY Mellon is Top Fund of Hedge Funds Administrator in Two New Industry Surveys

NEW YORK and LONDON, April 16, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- BNY Mellon, a global leader in investment management and investment services, has been recognized as the best large fund of hedge funds (FoHF) administrator in HFMWeek's 2014 European Hedge Fund Services Awards. The company also was listed as top FoHF administrator by assets under administration (AUA) in the Q4 2013 eVestment Fund Administrator Survey.

According to eVestment, total alternative AUA across the industry rose steadily in the six months since its prior survey. AUA among participating firms totaled $6.37 trillion for the period ending December 31, 2013, up 6.2% from June 30. BNY Mellon's total alternative AUA climbed to $648.9 billion, while FoHF assets under administration stood at $125.3 billion at year-end 2013.

"As funds of hedge funds start to regain traction and the industry adjusts to increased regulation, we've focused much of our attention on transparency," said Frank La Salla, CEO of BNY Mellon's Alternative Investment Services business. "Newly developed products, such as direct trade entry and our liquidity administration service launched in 2013, can help clients gain efficiency, expand their analysis, and enhance transparency. We'll continue to innovate to support their growth."
