Cimarex Energy Co. Analyst Notes
On June 30, 2014, Cimarex Energy Co. (Cimarex) announced that it has closed its prior announced acquisition of Western Oklahoma assets which are mainly located in the Cana-Woodford shale play, for a net amount of $238 million, following customary purchase price adjustments. According to the Company, the acquisition added approximately 140 billion cubic feet equivalent (Bcfe) of proved developed reserves, net production of 35 million cubic feet equivalent (MMcfe) per day and 50,000 net acres. Cimarex stated that in a separate transaction, the Company agreed to sell producing properties in Kansas, which include 50 Bcfe of proved reserves and 15 MMcfe per day of production, to an undisclosed buyer for $138 million.
