Adecco Staffing US Partners With Clients Across America For Internship Experience Program

JACKSONVILLE, Fla., July 8, 2014 /PRNewswire/ --Adecco Staffing US, part of the world's leading provider of human resources solutions, is proud to announce their involvement in the Adecco Way to Work and Adecco Experience programs, a global initiative providing young people with professional guidance through internships and career advice during the job search process.

In the United States, after a rigorous application and interview process, three college students and one recent college graduate were selected for Adecco Experience internships with some of Adecco's premier clients: Honda Manufacturing of America, ANN INC., the parent company of Ann Taylor and LOFT, BMW of Manhattan, Inc., and a large financial services organization. The internships, which are taking place during the month of July, will offer valuable opportunities in a number of career paths including marketing, customer service, business analysis and engineering.

The Adecco Experience is part of Adecco Group's Way to Work program, which takes on the worldwide challenge of youth unemployment. With millions of unfilled jobs in the United States and Europe tied to a lack of work experience, Adecco launched the program last year with a goal of providing career tips, guidance and professional experiences. This summer, young people from 54 countries will be participating in internships with one being chosen for an internship with Adecco Group's global CEO, Patrick De Maeseneire.

"As a new generation begins to enter the workforce, experiences like internships are critical in developing the hard and soft skills needed to excel in the business world. With the United States facing a youth unemployment rate of 13.2 percent, it is so important that we take the step towards providing these future workers with guidance and opportunities that will help them increase their employability, said Rich Thompson, chief human resource officer with Adecco Group North America. "We applaud our clients in understanding the importance of internships and partnering with us for the Adecco Experience program."
