During the month of June, nearly 120 HomeProperties communities found creative ways to express appreciation to residents with the overall theme, "Celebrating our Residents. Celebrating our Community."
The company-wide event began in 2011 as a one-week celebration but quickly grew into a month-long program. The planning of events and activities to recognize residents began in early spring 2014.

Resident Appreciation Month has become a much-anticipated annual event by both residents and staff. Staff members develop and participate in activities, contests, and events that are customized for all Home Properties communities. There are many types of events from "Decorate Your Balcony" contests and staff-run car washes to community cookbooks like the one created this year by The Village at Marshfield's staff in Marshfield, Massachusetts.

Many communities invited area businesses to provide complimentary services and discounted products for Home Properties residents as part of Resident Appreciation Month.
