Building Industry Answers The Call Of America's Wounded Veterans With The Donation Of Materials And Labor To PulteGroup's Built to Honor Program

ATLANTA, July 10, 2014 /PRNewswire/ --PulteGroup, Inc. (NYSE: PHM) is proud to announce that 25 national building materials companies have generously committed to donating their time and materials in support of the Company's Built to Honor program. For 2014 the program's goal is to donate 20 homes to deserving veterans.

"When there is a need, the homebuilding industry has always responded, and we are seeing our industry's heart on display once again as we provide support to the deserving men and women injured in defense of our country. These suppliers, in combination with hundreds of local trade partners supporting individual builds, are enabling Built to Honor to meet the needs of wounded veterans and their families," said Richard J. Dugas, Jr., PulteGroup Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer.

Today, Built to Honor is proud to announce that 25 building products companies have committed to donating their goods and/or services to support builds in 2014. The companies are: Boral Roofing, Dal-Tile, Emser Tile, Gerber, James Hardie, HomeTeam Pest Defense, Jeld-Wen, Kichler, Kohler Co., Kwikset, Weiser, Baldwin, Lennox, Masonite, Masterbrand Cabinets, Mohawk Industries, Moen Co., ProBuild, Schlage Locks, Sea Gull Lighting, Shaw Industries, The Sherwin Williams Company, Therma-Tru, Wilsonart and Whirlpool.

According to Dugas, the success of Built to Honor is only possible through the significant contribution of time, materials and financial resources of its trade partners. All across the country, hundreds of local building partners support our builds and it wouldn't be possible without them.

Built to Honor is PulteGroup's program for the construction and donation of mortgage-free homes to returning military personnel who have been injured during their term of service. The program works in partnership with Operation FINALLY HOME, a nonpartisan/nonprofit organization that identifies veteran candidates, and helps bring together builders, contractors, manufacturers and sponsors throughout the country.

In 2014, Built to Honor expects to work with veterans and their families in Arizona, California, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Michigan, Missouri, Nevada, New Jersey, New Mexico, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas and Virginia.
