Olivier Bourges is to join PSA Peugeot Citroën (Paris:UG) on 1 September 2014 and will be appointed Group General Counsel on 1 October 2014 to replace Pierre Todorov, who has decided to leave the Group to pursue a new professional project.
Mr. Bourges will take over the Group General Counsel's responsibilities, which include Legal Affairs, Institutional Relations, Property, Internal Audit and Control and Risk Management.
He will report to Carlos Tavares, Chairman of the Managing Board, and will be a member of the Executive Committee. He will also serve as Secretary of the Supervisory Board.
Olivier Bourges, 47, began his career in 1992 at the French Ministry for the Economy and Finance within the Treasury handling a variety of domestic financial challenges, particularly in the areas of banking and housing, also working in international affairs as Alternate Executive Director on the Board of the World Bank in Washington D.C.
In 2000, he joined Renault, initially to head investor relations and later to manage vehicle profitability. In 2006, he was appointed as head of vehicle programmes strategy and monitoring for Nissan North America in Nashville and, in 2008, took on the role of Corporate Controller for Renault.
In 2009, he returned to the French Ministry of the Economy and Finance as Deputy Director within the Agence des Participations de l'Etat (APE). In early 2013, he was appointed Deputy Director of Public Finance in charge of operations and transformation projects.
