On July 24, 2014, American Express Company released the results of its inaugural American Express Survey of Mid-sized Companies. According to the survey results, 70% of the mid-sized companies reported YoY growth in their revenues, while 91% of U.S. middle market companies are confident that they can access the capital they need to grow. Further, 81% of the Companies are planning to add staff in the next six months. However, 83% of the surveyed companies believe that despite increasing revenues and perceived access to capital, cash flows will be a matter of concern in the next six months. On July 23, 2014, Visa Inc. (Visa) announced that the Company's Board of Directors has declared a quarterly dividend of $0.40 per share class A common stock (determined in the case of class B and class C common stock on an as-converted basis). Molson Coors Brewing Company Research Reports
On August 6, 2014, Molson Coors Brewing Company (Molson Coors) reported its Q2 2014 and H1 2014 financial results. The Company reported Q2 2014 net sales of $1.19 billion, up 0.9% YoY, while the total volumes declined 0.3% YoY to 8.726 hectoliters. Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the Company to report Q2 2014 EPS of $1.47 and revenue of $1.18 billion. The Company's Q2 2014 net income attributable to Molson Coors stood at $290.9 million or $1.56 per diluted share, compared to $267.3 million or $1.45 per diluted share in Q2 2013. The Company's H1 2014 net sales remained flat YoY at $2.0 billion, while net income attributable to Molson Coors improved 53.6% YoY to $454.3 million.
