This award is the latest LEED achievement for Singapore laboratory to be certified at Gold within the Consumer Products Services division of Bureau Veritas. Being a major laboratory in Singapore, the laboratory is staffed with over 70 employees and occupies more than 16,000 square feet supporting the testing needs of textile, apparel, garments, and hard goods manufacturers and exporters.

LEED is the "defacto" standard for green buildings, developed and administered by the USGBC. Bureau Veritas excelled in many of the categories including full marks in terms of water efficiency, green power, lighting power, equipment & appliances, and enhanced commissioning. Other successes were in the design and verification of thermal heating as well as the use of low-emitting materials such as adhesives and sealants, paints, coatings and flooring systems.

Jeff Tan, Regional Chief Executive of Bureau Veritas Consumer Products Services for South East Asia region commented, "As a global leader in supply chain quality, safety and sustainability management services, we are very delighted to report this major success following on the recent LEED Gold ratings in our Hong Kong Head Office, Noida location in India, as well as the most recent LEED Platinum rating in Sri Lanka location. As a company, these achievements clearly demonstrate our commitment to support health, social and environment initiatives worldwide."
