                           AND PROGRESS OF PROJECTS OF 2014

The board of directors (the "Board") and all directors (the "Directors") of the
Company warrant that there are no false representations and misleading statements
contained in, or material omissions from this announcement, and severally and jointly
accept the responsibility for the truthfulness, accuracy and completeness of the
contents of this announcement.

This announcement is made pursuant to Rule 13.10(B) of the Rules Governing the Listing
of Securities on The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited.

Datang International Power Generation Co., Ltd. (the "Company") announces that, based
on the Company's preliminary statistics, as at 31 December 2014, total power generation
of the Company and its subsidiaries (the "Group") amounted to 188.8449 billion kWh,
representing a decrease of approximately 1.58% when compared to the corresponding
period of the previous year. Total on-grid power generation of the Group amounted
to 178.6369billion kWh, representing a decrease of approximately 1.54% when compared
to the corresponding period of the previous year.

The Group's power generation of thermal power generation units decreased by approximately
3% when compared to the corresponding period of the previous year which was attributable
to the impact brought by slowdown of national economic growth and lower overall on-grid
utilisation hours of areas where the Group's thermal power generation units are located.
The Group's power generation of hydropower generation units increased by approximately
12.95% when compared to the corresponding period of the previous year as a result of an
increase in inflowing water in the areas where the generation units situated. Due to
enhancement in the capacity of the Group's photovoltaic generation units, power
generation of wind power and photovoltaic generation units increased by approximately
6.77% when compared to the corresponding period of the previous year.

II. Status of capacity increase in 2014

Installed capacity in 2014 increased by 2,754.39MW in total, breakdown of which is
shown as below:


1. Increase in installed capacity of coal-fired generation units by way of modification: 160MW,
newly installed capacity: 2,080MW;

2. Increase in newly installed capacity of hydro-electric power generating
units: 213.79MW, purchase capacity: 12.6MW ;


3. Increase in newly installed capacity of wind power generating units: 168MW;

4. Increase in newly installed capacity of photovoltaic generating units: 120MW.


III. Approval status of power generation projects of the Group

In 2014, the Group obtained official approvals on 7 power generation projects, details are
as follows:


1. Coal-fired power projects: Hebei Wei County power plant 2X600MW project, Inner Mongolia
Autonomous Region Tuoketuo power plant phase 5 2X660MW project;


2. Wind power projects: Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region Hongsibao phase 1 100MW wind power
project, Liaoning Datang International Changtu Sanshengtun 50 MW wind power project,
Liaoning Datang International Fuxin Sifangmiao 50MW wind power project, Jiangxi Datang
International Xunwu Luanluozhang 66MW wind power project;

3. Hydropower project: Chongqing Haokou Hydropower 10MW capacity expansion project.
