ATOS: Atos and CA Technologies Partner to help organisations embrace the Application Economy

Developers, testers and performance engineering teams can work in parallel for faster delivery, higher application quality and reliability

New York and Paris, 8 December 2014 - Atos, an international leader in digital services, and CA Technologies, join forces to enable their customers to fully embrace the opportunities that the application economy* presents, with the launch of a new and innovative Service Virtualization and Agile Testing Center of Excellence (COE). The new end-to-end "Agile Testing" approach allows developers, testers and performance engineering teams to work in parallel for faster delivery, higher application quality and reliability.

"Today, in the application economy, all companies face tremendous pressure to deliver higher quality applications faster at lower cost than ever before. This is why Atos has chosen the CA Service Virtualization solution to help customers reduce time-to-market, lower infrastructure costs, mitigate contention for labs and deliver better overall application quality. Our approach enables Atos and CA customers to "shift quality left" in the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)", said Francis Meston, Executive Vice President Global Consulting and Systems Integration at Atos.

The new Service Virtualization and Agile Testing Centers of Excellence (COE) are designed to nurture specialized talent and drive research, whilst facilitating best practices and solution accelerators in these areas. Service Virtualization is a critical component addressing DevOps challenges.

"Every business is becoming a software business as applications are often the face of the organisation, so both quality and speed are vital in the application economy" said Eric Grotefeld, Senior Vice President Solution Sales, Application Delivery, CA Technologies. "A  recent survey revealed that 94% of business executives face increased pressure to release applications more quickly. Our joint customers can benefit greatly from our global partnerships to gain new competitive advantage in a world powered by applications".

"Atos and CA Technologies joint focus is to bring to market a new end-to-end 'Agile Testing' approach that allows developers, testers and performance teams to work in parallel for faster delivery and higher application quality and reliability. These attributes are fundamental requirements for our customers and prospects to seize the opportunities created by the application economy" concluded Francis Meston at Atos

*We live in an application economy (http://rewrite.ca.com/us/articles/application-economy/how-to-survive-and-thrive-in-the-application-economy.aspx). Retail, news, entertainment, banking, education, government, communications - everything is driven by a connected, mobile, application-based world where company's customers are far more likely to experience their brand and interact with an enterprise through a software application than a live person. To thrive in this new reality, developing and delivering superior user experiences that engage customers and staff is now the ultimate priority. And all of it is enabled by software.
