AJAX, ONTARIO -- (Marketwired) -- 03/03/15 -- As most of the country continues to battle the deep freeze, sales at Volkswagen Canada have remained red-hot. February's total of 4,711 established a new all-time high for the month, and represents a 26% increase over the same month last year (3,733). Year-to-date, the numbers are equally positive, with 8,845 having been delivered, which compares well to the 7,416 sold during the same timeframe in 2014.
"The all-new Golf Sportwagon will be arriving at our dealerships this month," stated Maria Stenstrom, President and CEO of Volkswagen Group Canada. "There, it will join our new Golf and GTI models, which have sold extremely well since their introduction last year."
Throughout the lineup, Volkswagens are selling at a record pace. Last month, 1,767 Jetta sedans were sold, making it one of the best selling cars in Canada. The Tiguan compact sport utility has proven that building a vehicle at the "right size" and pricing it aggressively is a recipe for success in our market. Last month, 745 Tiguans were sold.
