At the speech "Business-Driven Innovative ICT, Building A Better Connected World," Wing Kin Leung from Huawei said, "A Better Connected World of 100 billion connections is awaiting us. Connectivity-based ICT is shifting from a support system to a production system that creates values and drives industry innovations and transformations. With the strategy of Business-Driven ICT Infrastructure (BDII) in mind, Huawei continues to concentrate on ICT infrastructure and build a better connected world with all of you here."

At the keynote speech "Next Generation Cities: Intelligent and Social," Ger Baron shared Amsterdam's understanding and practices in Smart City as well as its 2020 plan. He explained, "Cities want to be intelligent and social. It is more like connectivity-based Maslow's hierarchy of needs. ICT plays a significant role in public safety, resource management, and healthcare, influencing our daily life and work. It means that cities need to rethink their role and leverage innovative ICT to provide citizens with smart and sustainable services."

Lars Gollenia from SAP said, "It's a great honor to join the Huawei CIO forum, discuss opportunities and challenges brought by a better connected world, as well as the influence of innovative ICT to industry innovations and transformations, particularly business models. Each of the digital giants has already stepped into one or more of new industries." At the keynote speech "New Business Models powered by SAP in a Simplified Connected World," Lars Gollenia specified that "cloud + SAP HANA" is the strategy for SAP to help customers to run the things simple.

Keynote speeches were followed by panel discussions where Henk van Raan (Business development and Innovation director from Amsterdam ArenA), Peter Hjalmar Loop (Principal Technology Architect, Infosys AVP), Dennis de Graaf (Director, TenICT), Pierre-Yves Mutel, Lars Gollenia, and Wing Kin Leung shared ideas about ICT system demands from enterprises, industries, consulting firms, system integrators, and manufacturers as well as business cooperation models. Joerg Karpinski made a concise and impressive summary: With concerted collaboration across the entire ecosystem, innovative ICT systems will be increasingly smart and the world will be better connected.
